Beatha teanga í a labhairt
We have had a great turn-out for the Beginner and Intermediate Irish classes which commenced Monday 10th November in the Dolmen Centre. Participants have the opportunity to work towards a Silver or Gold Fáinne using the course booklets and the sound files provided. Tá an lucht foghlama díograiseach agus tá siad ag baint suilt as na ranganna. Tá spriocanna acu agus cuidíonn sé sin chun iad a spreagadh. Tá an-dul chun cinn á dhéanamh acu.
The adult students are availing of in-class tuition and can revise at home/in the car/out walking by using the “Faigh Fáinne-Caith Fáinne” or “I dTreo Fáinne Óir” booklets with their associated sound files. The actual Fáinne exams are optional and can be arranged in Newry or Omeath. Many adults quickly realise that they have more Irish than they thought while the renewed interest in Irish across all counties helps inspire them to use their Irish with confidence.
These classes have been made available with the support of Louth County Council at a local and district level. We thank Louth County Council and local Councillors for their contributions. Ní neart go cur le chéile.
