Our place names are many centuries old and every one of them tells a story about us.
Aindriú Mac Aonghusa researched the Irish language place names in the mountains of Cooley and kept them alive.
Ciarán Mac Murchaidh has written widely on the minor place names in South Down and South Armagh.
Úna Walsh has spent a lifetime campaigning for better understanding and retention of townland names.
