Our initiative, ‘Go Purple Day’ will be held in Garda Stations nationwide next Friday, 28th April to help raise awareness of domestic violence and the supports available to those affected in Ireland.

In previous years some of the ways that we have marked the day included:

🟣 Wearing purple pins on our uniform

🟣 Hosting a coffee morning with local DV services and emergency services

🟣 Information stands in shopping centres, colleges, marts etc.

🟣 Lighting up] our Garda Stations and other buildings in purple

🟣 Liaising with local sports clubs and community groups to hold talks and presentations.
